A rather nice person. Lives in a small town but thinks big thoughts, and they scream at her until she writes them down.

Background Information

Robyn has been writing for more than thirty years.  She fell in love with the written word early, through the works of  E.E. Milne, James M. Cain,  Margaret Wise Brown, Dr. Seuss, Mark Twain, Robert Frost, Rudyard Kipling, and others.  She loves whimsical, spirited, uplifting pieces with unexpected twists and turns.

She writes every day, and her interests include poetry and prose, for young and old alike.  You can never be quite sure what she'll be working on next!

Robyn lives in a small town in Alabama with her wonderful husband, Reggie.  She has three perfect children and an adorable son-in-law.  All-in-all, she in blessed beyond measure.

Birth Place
Decatur, AL USA

Robyn has received many honors for her writing over the years. She's been published in print and on-line publications. Special awards include winning 3rd place in the Cleveland Soho Poetry Contest in 2011 for a poem entitled, The White Knight, and being a Top Ten Finalist in WOW-Women on Writing's Summer 2012 Flash Fiction Contest (out of 300 stories!)

Additional Information

Robyn is currently working on a second historical novel, tentatively titled, "Ama". It's a mail-order bride story that starts out in the gritty tenements of New York City in the late 1800s, but moves to Fort Smith, Arkansas, home of famed 'Hanging Judge', Isaac Parker. The research has been fascinating... but laborious! Robyn has gone through chapters recently where she had to research two days for each single written paragraph! Melinda Heads West
My latest (and first!) book. A historical romance/western about a young woman who has to travel across three states to pick up a family deed. Well, of course, things don't go as planned! Thieves and murderers enter the picture - good thing she's made the acquaintance of two 'gentlemen'. Lucas is tall and fair and Boone is taller and dark. But Boone is married! Or is he? And who will win Mindy's affection?
