I was born and raised in Norwich, England before moving over to the American East Coast in 2002.
In my childhood I was absolutley in love with anything that Roald Dahl touched. His grandfather way of telling a story made it feel that every single book was written especially for me. Mr Dahl was a major factor behind me starting to read on my own and hopefully, maybe a long time in the future, I can hopefully be that for someone else.
At school I was interested in Art and Writing although my school career ended with an advance media qualification as the writing I had been doing was put to the side in favor of the film and radio career (inspired partly by another unique figure within his field, Tarantino).
After school I worked in a video store before moving to the United States in 2002. From there my writing passion was rekindled and spare moments were dedicated to writing and illustrating. In fact I started an Art course but was forced to abandon it when the funds were no longer available.
At the point of my withdrawing from the program I had achieved a good grade and was told I had the potential to get better, despite being (up to that point) self taught.
Two years ago with my life at a cross roads it was apparent that my life had to take a different course and money needed to be found. In 2011 I completed a 'Writing for Children' course from Stratford Career Institute.
From that course my passion was rekindled, confidence recharged and my goals refocused.
