Background Information

I have been an avid reader of science fiction and horror since the late 1950s.  After reading for half a century I decided to try my hand at it.

My greatest influences have been Lovecraft and Barker for horror and far too many to mention in the genres of SciFi although I must mention the recently passed Ray Bradbury.

The Chronicles of Underhill
The year is 1921 and two students from Providence, R.I. are exploring the tunnel system that honeycombs College Hill under Brown University. They are seeking a site for Professor Vasil Kozoff to conduct his experiments in relativity. In the course of their explorations they discover a huge cache of mysterious crates. These crates contain artifacts that are identical to the religious, mystical, magical and mythological relics described in the writings of the ages. But they soon discover that these strange and puzzling artifacts are not all the tunnels have to offer. Soon they finds themselves locked in a savage battle with a Lovecroftian monstrosity that has plagued humanity for thousands of years and that is just the beginning of this tale.

While performing research for a master's thesis at Brown University, Brian Metcalf finds more than darkness behind closed eyelids. Astral realms intent upon unleashing unspeakable evil attempt to use him as a pawn in their struggle to open a portal to this world. It's happened before to others. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote, "If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. Whoever battles monsters had better see that it does not turn him into a monster."

You Just Might Be a Terrorist
Are you a terrorist? The United States government may think you are if you do certain things. This book will tell you what not to do to make them think you are and what you may have to do to protect your rights to privacy that may make them think you are.
