Simon Rosser was born in Cardiff, South Wales in 1968 and studied law in University of North London and the College of Law in Chester. He currently works as a personal injury lawyer.
My first writing experience, if you could call it that, came from my love of horror movies. Saturday night would be horror movie double bill night. I'm talking about all the Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Vincent Price films, vampires, monsters, mummies and werewolves. I kept scrapbooks of all the films I saw between 1977 and 1981, and still have them to this day. I'd spend hours drawing a little picture of the film and appraising it - the writing part!
Fast forward 30 years and I decided to write the factual A-Z of Global Warming following a viewing of Al Gore's documentary An Inconvenient Truth in an effort to clarify the complex subject of climate change.
As for the thrillers i have written, they have been inspired by the places i have travelled, the books I have read and movies I have viewed and my interest in science and the environment.
I started action-thriller TIPPING POINT in 2010, my first fiction novel, which follows protagonist Robert Spire - an environmental lawyer - as he investigates the mysterious deaths of two climatologists. TIPPING POINT is essentially an ecological action-adventure thriller and was published on Kindle and paperback in June 2011.
My next thriller, IMPACT POINT follows Robert Spire as he embarks on another fast-paced adventure, this time involving the mysterious deaths of marine mammal. The action cranks up as he and marine biologist Dr Sammy Rivia search for meteorite fragments that could be linked to the whale deaths and...well, mayhem! The Mayan's predicted the end of the world in December 2012. They just may have been right...
Third Robert Spire action-adventure thriller Melt Zone is scheduled for release in 2013, together with an updated version of The A-Z of Global Warming by end 2012.
