Laurie Cohen’s Bio
In 1964 I was born in Baltimore City. I began to write as quickly as I learned to write. I graduated from Catonsville Community College in 1986 with an AA Degree in Liberal Arts. Currently, I work for Baltimore County Government in Recreation & Parks as an Administrative Aide.
I’m a member of the Baltimore Jewish Writer’s Guild and Agentquery.com. I’ve had articles published in local newspapers including the Baltimore Jewish Times, Baltimore Examiner, Owings Mills Times and Community Times. I’ve always been enamored by Twilight Zone concept fiction. My two favorite non-fiction readings include the New York Times Bestseller, "A Child Called IT" by David Peltzer, and “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch.
My work on “Enemy Self” is a young adult psychological thriller that has kept me captive for almost 25 years because it leaps into surrealism with inside voices, effective use of imagination, and reflects aspects of human nature.
