Background
Information
I began my career as a writer and journalist for CBC Radio, Canada's public broadcaster, and my years in the media have had a strong influence both on the structure and the themes of my fiction. As an American-born Canadian writer who came north in the Sixties, I find that these experiences have profoundly affected my imagination and my work.
