My entire professional career has been devoted to working with and writing for teenagers and the people who work with them. In recent years my focus has been on at-risk teens. I have written curriculum for schools and agencies and now publish books and newsletters for people who work with at-risk youth.

In addition to books, I publish a monthly newsletter for people who work with at-risk youth called Making a Difference. It is available via email or USPS. Every issue is filled with relevant news, teaching ideas and tips, a full lesson plan on a recently released video, and a summary/review of a recent book on at-risk youth. In the next few months we will introduce two more books: one an autobiography of a young person who grew up in the Indianapolis projects and conquered dyslexia, poverty, and racism to become a highly successful college graduate; the other is a guide for teachers and parents on teenage drug abuse, a highly unique viewpoint from a young teacher who was a drug-affected youth himself.
