I live with my husband and two children in a small coastal village, south of Sydney, Australia. Home life centres on the beach, surfing (my husband and kids – not me) and enjoying the great outdoors. Professionally, I divide my time between Primary School teaching, writing stories for young people and working as a children’s book editor for Banana Books. My first book, Mistie’s Magic, (The Book Company Publishing) was published in 2000. I now have over fifty books published, for the education, trade and novelty markets. A number of my novelty titles have been very successful in the USA, with Flying High, The Great Race, Bugs at Play and My Place all attaining number one position on BookScan USA.
My latest book, Taming Butterflies, is a hard cover picture book for children aged 4+. It is an empowering tale about dealing with anxiety, illustrated by award-winning illustrator, Mini Goss. It is absolutely beautiful!
Battle of the Rats, is my first novel for Koala Books. It’s a story about loyalty and betrayal, courage and friendship – and I’m very proud of it.
