I started to write short fiction anecdotes in the 2nd grade, and also illustrated them. By the 4th grade,
I had started a juvenile fiction series about a girl my age. Between the 5th and 8th grades, I wrote a
complete juvenile fiction series of 8 books about middle grade students and all their escapades. It was
called junior high back then. It was suggested 2 generations ago that I publish my books, and now I
am finally doing it.
My children's books will reflect happy days of my own, such as an exciting all-day job of canning
applesauce with my mother, adventures and friendships of Girl Scouts, visiting all the great exhibits
and rides at the Stark County Fair, and a beautiful afternoon with my family at the garden center.
