Elaine Hopper was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her mother was a tailor and her father was an electrical engineer and later a computer programmer/systems analyst. She has enjoyed many activities over the years ~ horse back riding, roller skating, bowling, trap shooting, archery, swimming, bicycling, reading, and writing. She held several jobs before finding her niche in writing, including Electronics Technician US Air Force, Proposal Analyst/Accountant, Waittress and Hostess while working her way through college, Executive Assistant...thus she has a wide array of experience to choose from when creating heroes and heroines. Now she works fulltime as the Supervisor of Donor Services for an International Charity and pens romance novels nights and weekends.

Elaine's book WYSIWYG was a 2001 Eppie Finalist. Although she didn't win the Eppie, she was honored to be a finalist. She is also very happy and excited that her good friend Linnea Sinclair/aka Megan Sybil Baker won the 2001 Eppie for her fantasy novel WINTERTIDE. Elaine is also thrilled that her first teen romance novel AFTERSHOCKS just won the Reviewer's Choice Award from Ebooks For Kids.
