Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.--Edgar Allan Poe. I feel blessed to be doing exactly what I enjoy most for a living--writing mysteries, thrillers--anything with a body count! And I especially enjoy helping other writers to appreciate all of their publishing options and realize their dreams.

Despite the fact that I've had approximately 512 different jobs, I don't remember ever wanting to be anything but a writer when I grew up. Nancy Drew was a very strong, early influence. And I suppose I dabbled just a bit in what is now called "fan fiction." My head was always filled with stories begging to get out--and all were puzzles, my favorite form of entertainment. Readers tell me that my debut novel, Something Borrowed, Something Blue (available now!), keeps them guessing to the very end. And I'm delighted that so far, no one's confessed to figuring out whodunnit. Can you?

2nd place winner in the 2004 DIY Book Festival for Gunsmoke: Legends of the Long Branch (Fan Fiction category). Joined other winners and finalists for readings and signings at the West Hollywood Book Fair. In addition to my novel, I am currently featured in Changing Course, the new anthology from bestselling author Yitta Halberstam (Small Miracles). This collection contains essays and comments from such notable women as Betty Rollin, Joyce Maynard, Oprah Winfrey and Susan Sarandon. I hope you'll check it out!
I'm also hard at work on another "beach read thriller" entitled My Bonny Lies. It's about Kayla Sullivan, a young woman who sets sail aboard the Alexandria, a small private cruise ship, where a murderer is lurking. Her friend, a high-profile defense attorney, disappears, leaving behind a blood-splattered bathtub in her room. Like Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Bonny is a mainstream mystery with just a touch of the supernatural...
Additional publishing news includes poems in the forthcoming book, GUNSMOKE: An American Institution and Television Westerns magazine. Contributing writer, Book Promotion From A to Z (Filbert Press, 2005).
