My life and work continue to grow out of my love for Jesus and because of His incredible love for me. He has blessed me with long life, dear family, good friends, and great opportunities. He ministers through me in my writings, photos, poems, and stories as I serve my family, church and community. In the roles of wife, parent, grandmother, friend, pro-life activist, teacher, nurse, web minister, health consultant, gardener, homemaker, counselor and mentor; He allows me to do “little things with great love.”
My formal education is in nursing with a BS in Nursing from Duke University and Certification in Family Practice from UTSA. However, the most valuable education is from the Holy Spirit in the laboratory of life.
My physician husband and I are in our jubilee year! We have been married 50 years with never a dull moment. Sometimes, I prayed for a few dull moments—but with a Viking lover, friend, and spiritual leader—there just are not any dull moments! We traveled widely when he was in the Air Force; then practiced medicine together in rural Texas for over 30 years. We have five adult children and ten grandchildren, so far!
Recently, we down sized from horses to a Chihuahua and have joined a new growing fellowship of believers, Living Water Fellowship. We are teaching the things that God is showing us about Whole Person Wellness. It is a blessing to share the ways of God in each new season of life.
