"Although Queensland, Australia is my home base, I've become a gypsy who loves exploring the diverse cultures of Asia. Meeting people, hearing their stories, is both challenging and rewarding. This encourages me to write stories that capture the social and political moments in people's lives.Angels of Saigon & Our Children's Sorrow released. The Emerald Buddha available February 2007...

Background Information

Travelling throughtout Southeast Asia and experiencing the diverse cultures is my first love; coupled with my joy when observing these facinating people.By writing about my experiences while traveling, keeps the images fresh in my mind. I only have to close my eyes to sense the Champa trees with their vivid white flowers. The spicy fragrance of chilis and lemon grass always makes my tastebuds begin to water. Asia and the serenity of Buddha are always with me, where ever I travel in this shrinking world.

Birth Place
Wellington,  New Zealand

My experiences with the International Women's club charity committee, in both Vietnam and Laos has proved invaluable research for my latest books.Working with the talented women in Vietiane, Laos: building classrooms for ethnic children in the provinces, raising funds for 'Operation Smiles' (Harlip and Facial Tumours) and wheelchairs for mine victims, was extremely rewarding. And a wonderful learning experience over the past ten years. My time in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2000-2002 was challenging and times confronting. I visited beautiful blue tiled mosques built two thousand years ago and met many wonderful, friendly people. The people's lives in Uzbekistan are complicated by a culture of Moslem beliefs and communist control by the current government.
Since living in far north Queensland, Australia my writing has developed to include scenes of tropical nights and the scent of Frangipani. The Emerald Buddha has been released through and Check out for you copy of this exciting mystery thriller.
