Background Information

I went to college in the 60’s. The politics and general state of cultural revolution that occurred at that time beginning with the Civil Rights movement in the USA, then the Vietnam war, the sexual revolution and the social and political world wide repercussions musically, environmentally and spiritually all stimulated me to write. I have always been independent in my thought process. My bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and my master’s is in Special Education enabled me to work as a creative and educational consultant for “thinktanks”, publishers, the US Government and corporations. As a “flower child” of the 60’s I am strongly motivated to entertain. I believe it is when the mind is relaxed that our greatest ideas surface. I believe the role of the artist in society is to hold up a mirror to enable people so they can pause, reflect and move forward. Generally I hope my writing will create awareness and change.
