Real Life Is No Excuse For Bad Drama, that is my philosophy when writing true life articles and books. Even the most mundane emotion can be turned into gut wrenching drama if the writer allows his passion to flow through his pen.

Background Information

I have been writing since the age of 7 and had my first published work (poetry) in Cat World Magazine at age 13.  Throughout my teens I had various articles published in different animal welfare and ecological magazines.

In 1997 I set up Vaccination Awareness Network UK, a national charity, and the following year I self-printed a book on vaccination which sold in excess of 3,000 copies.  The 5th edition of this book has just been published by Meadow Books in March of this year.

In June of this year, Meadow Books also published my book about breast feeding.

Some of my poetry is being published in a compilation called ‘Literally Speaking’, in August 2006.

I am also a feature writer for ‘The Mother’ magazine, which is available in the UK, Australia, America and Canada.  I have a regular column, writing about immunology and health.

I have also had an article on disabled parenting, accepted by ‘Mothering’ magazine in the USA, and I have been published in various other magazines and newspapers such as The Daily Mail, Derbyshire Evening Telegraph, Bella magazine, Eva magazine, Here’s Health magazine, The Journal of Degenerative Diseases, Informed Parent newsletter, Chat: It’s Fate magazine, Our Baby magazine, Pregnancy and Birth magazine, Mother and Baby magazine, Organic Baby Book, to name a few.

I have also been on various TV and radio shows including The John Stapleton Show, Central Weekend Show, Central News, News 24, Watchdog Healthcheck, and other doctors programmes, as well as BBC World Service Radio, Derby Radio, Nottingham Radio, Late Night Love show etc.

Theatrical Performance in Shakephere's 'Twelveth Night', including Costume Design for set (1993).

I then attained English Literature GCSE B grade, English Language GCSE B grade, Media Studies A Level D grade, Certificate of Person-centred Counselling, Dysfunctional Family Counselling Certificate, B grade and Neuro-Psychological Immunology, A grade.

Producer and writer of 'SHOTS' newsletter, now called 'VAXSCENE', printed every 3 months with a circulation of 500 readers. (1997-to present day).

Currently a member of the Writer's Bureau College of Journalism.
