"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Jesus the Christ.
Lena's love for our Heavenly Father is something she has known from childhood because of her Christian upbringing. Proverbs 3:5,6 is one of many verses she clings to: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path." Throughout her life, even to the acquiring of a husband, the Lord has proved this promise to be true. It is her desire that those who should find themselves perusing the "from-the-heart" prose here at the Den, or through the humble pages of www.dailysoulfoodforyou.com, or www.soakinhiswords.webs.com, will find encouragement, comfort, and an infilling of the Holy Spirit.
If perchance you should read any of her novels, you will find them to be unique, for she attempts to show through the main protagonist a deep faith and love for our Triune God, the source of all strength and hope.
Her most recent book, Inside the Shell is a collection of Inspirational Prose dedicated to anyone who is hurting or discouraged, and who would like to experience God's abundant love, grace, peace, and compassion. In a world where there is so much pain, she just wants to be able to encourage, uplift, and help others realize that their faith and trust in Jesus, the Anointed One, will make a huge difference in their lives. Through the promptings of the Holy Spirit, they will even discover their own hidden talents, gifts, and purpose for being here.
"We ought to look only for the good in others; see the beauty within, while ignoring the shell they occupy," says Lena, referencing John Merrick - aka the Elephant Man! "Although severely deformed in body, he had a remarkably kind and gentle spirit.) He found rest in the Lord. We can too!"
"Indeed, we ought to see the glass as half full; consider mistakes as God's way of maturing us; view each day as a new beginning, a chance God gives us to let go of the past and have a fresh start. There is always a season of preparation before God sends a case our way. Remember challenges and trials are learning times!"
Lena thanks God daily for what He has done for her, in the person of Jesus and His selfless sacrifice on the Cross. Her recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and the loss of her beloved Dad in 2008, reinforces her need to proclaim Jesus to the world!
Lena believes God touches our lives in a variety of ways. And the experiences we have had are meant to be shared. If she is able to bring hope, encouragement, and inspiration to just one person, then she has fulfilled her purpose.
Finally, Lena wishes peace and love to all her readers! She also welcomes and thanks all those who take time to visit her websites and leave reviews/messages to cheer her on. And from the heart, she sincerely wishes her fellow creative writers much success in their craft!
He Guides the humble in what is right, and teaches them His way!
