I topped the University in Natural Sciences at graduation. A felicity with the English language from childhood and the ambience of the lush green and multi-hued India shaped my sensibilities. My writing started in the teens and continued in my twenties. Articles on natural phenomena, the human predicament when caught in unexpected situations, and the helplessness of man faced with the power of Nature influenced my persona. I am deeply influenced by the classical literature, music and dances of India at the subliminal level. Robert Frost,Graham Greene,Somerset Maugham and R.K. Narayan are my favorites. And of course, the inimitable P.G. Wodehouse!
