The power of the mind has always fascinated me. I have always loved words and story telling. I love creating characters who have some special talent, but are still real people with real problems. I studied metaphysics, meditation and hypnosis and touch healing after my mother's fight with cancer. I went to do research on the use of hypnosis with cancer patients and pain patients. I have taught meditation and self-hypnosis as well as dream analysis at Eastern Kentucky Univerity through their special programs in Richmond, Kentucky. An avid, but unpublished fiction writer, in 2000 I decided to incorporate my metaphysical studies into my fiction. My first published novel, The Gifts, is due for release on May 1, 2006.

The Gifts, A Jacody Ives Mystery, published by Echelon Press in May 2006 took second place in the Preditor's and Editor's contest for best novel of 2006, and was nominated for the David Award.

The Gifts, A Jacody Ives Mystery has been released on Amazon Kindle. Sacred Secrets, the prequel to The Gifts, was released on Amazon Kindle on 7/1/2010.
