Writer seeks...

Background Information

Olivia is a secondary school history teacher in the UK. A former resident of Edinburgh, Scotland, her dubious claim to fame is that she used to go for coffee in Nicholsonís at the same time as J K Rowling was writing the first Harry Potter book on the other side of the room. She speaks a number of dead languages with varying degrees of fluency, and travels extensively in search of inspiration for her stories. When not writing, she can be found watching Hong Kong films or playing with her Manx cat.

Best series, best drama, and best romance in the F1Slash awards 2005. Various fannish writing awards. Oh, and I won a WHSmith Young Writer award a loooong time ago!

Additional Information

My first full-length novel, an erotic action-adventure historical romance, is available now from Silk's Vault Press, entitled Trail of Feathers. You can also catch my Regency romance short story The Lady & the Highwayman, available from Ocean's Mist Press. I've also signed contracts with Midnight Showcase for four novellas in their forthcoming anthologies, so watch out for further updates on that matter :) In February, Samhain will be publishing my Greek historical vampire novel, Revenant, which was something of a labour of love as my background is in Classical archaeology. I'm very excited about that one as I absolutely love the setting and the story (hmm, I might be biased on that point!). For excerpts from all of these titles and from a few WIPs, please visit my website. Finally, I've just been published in China! Two of my Tang Dynasty stories are currently being translated into Chinese, which is a great honour. The translator also worked on my 1930s opera story, which has already received some acclaim from mainlanders.
