MISSION: Create and promote books of a fine quality, unique books both decent in nature and fine in craft.

Background Information

A native Texan, Heath Whiteside was born in Dallas, Texas. Raised on a working cattle ranch bordered by wild places, his experiences as a child were exciting and memorable. Not all of his experiences, however, were good ones. He's got a past that is filled with a great deal of misery as well as excitement and daring adventures. He has suffered broken bones, severed nerves, a broken neck. He's been insanely tormented by his loss of loved ones, suffered the agony of severe depression, and even attempted suicide ... trying anything to stop the demons that tormented his soul. His life has not been easy. There was a stint of more than sixteen years of incarceration in some of Texas's most notorious prisons for having shot a man in defense of his brother. That man was a police officer, but family is sacred to Heath. The man's badge did not give him the right to kill unnecessarily. It was a moment of reaction, following a night of bad decisions. He knows well, therefore, the struggles of having to rise above the obstacles of both life in general and the mighty obstacles of bad decisions. Upon his release from prison, having been given fifty dollars and a set of rags to wear, he had to start building his life anew after losing almost two decades to a system of degradation. And now, only three years later, he is overcoming the monsters of doubt and fear to begin the accomplishment of his personal triumph. His book HEATHEN, the first in a developing trilogy, celebrates all that he has survived and tells his struggles in a way that anyone who has ever suffered can relate to. This book was inspired by his personal experience, heartache, loneliness and, ultimately, his personal triumph over incredible obstacles, obstacles that are all too common in life. The author's difficult past influences strongly his creative and passionate writing style, filling the pages with apparent sincerity and realism. Apparent, too, is his attention to detail and an uncanny understanding of human nature, all of which make his writing both vivid and believable.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah....

He survived! Staring the devil in the eyes, he overcame. That is what he accomplished. And now, he has written a book, a good book. In fact, it is so good, so heartfelt, that his publisher has printed it verbatim - word for word, not a single word or character was changed.... If it stands, it stands by his own merit. If it fails ... the burden of blame is his alone.

Additional Information

My most current endeavor is working with an agency in New York for the purpose of having HEATHEN - A Tribute to Life, Love and Freedom sold for movie production. The book possesses exceptional qualities for the big screen. Doubtless it will thrill audiences across the globe. Truly, HEATHEN - A Tribute to Life, Love and Freedom shall make a great movie! And, of course, it is already a great book.

HEATHEN - A Tribute to Life, Love and Freedom
Despite being the most wanted man in the whole of a ninth-century empire, and unlikely hero arises to help bring an end to the bloodiest military coup the kingdom has ever known and finds a way of life worth dying for. Wanting only his freedom and the woman he loves, Zelian is a man of few desires, but with a passion for them that is anything but small. A simple life would make him happy. Happiness though, for Zelian, is an elusive thing. Murder, mayhem and the fact that he is a wanted man complicate Zelian's life. Lies and betrayal of friends, the alliance of hateful rivals, and the twists of heros dying and imprisoned, and love both lost and found add greatly to the passion in this tale. And when Zelian gets caught up in the schemes of those who exert little control over the nature of greed, he finds his life complicated indeed.
