Judith Laura is author of the trade paperback novels, Beyond All Desiring, recipient of multiple awards, and Three Part Invention. Both have been praised by reviewers and readers. Both also became available as Kindle E-books in 2011. Beyond All Desiring is also now available in multiple e-book formats, including Nook and Sony.
She is also author of three books on Goddess Spirituality, the most recent of which is Goddess Matters: the mystical, practical, & controversial. The others are the ground-breaking Goddess Spirituality for the 21st Century: from Kabbalah to Quantum Physics, whose second enlarged edition was declared Winner in the comparative religion category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards; and She Lives! The Return of Our Great Mother; now in its Third Combined Edition. Her poems and short fiction have appeared in journals, zines (both print and online), and anthologies.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY; grew up in Ewing, NJ; received a BS in Journalism from Ohio University, and now lives near Washington, DC. She has worked as a newpaper reporter, feature writer, and as editor-in-chief of a variety of publications, including a health magazine, an arts newspaper, and several newsletters. She is also a reader and teacher of Tarot, and an artist. Judith Laura's novel, Beyond All Desiring, was a top winner of the 2006 Ulysses Award, and finalist for both the Best Books Awards 2006 and the 2006 Media Darlings'Word/Works Awards.
The second enlarged edition of her book, Goddess Spirituality for the 21st Century: from Kabbalah to Quantum Physics is Winner in the "Comparative Religion" category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards.
She is also author of the novel,Three Part Invention (2002, 2009). Her short fiction has been published by Gemini Books'Jetstream Selections, Woodwind, So Dark So Deep, HLFQ, and is included in the 2001 Arsenal Pulp Press anthology, Hot & Bothered 3. Her poetry has appeared in both print and online journals including: Mid-America Poetry Review,Poetica, Metropolitan, Pudding, OALM, Facets Magazine, The Pedestal Magazine, Poemeleon, and in the anthologies Prayers to Protest (Pudding House 1998), A Pagan's Muse(Kensington/Citadel 2003) and Not What I Expected (Paycock Press, 2007).
She is also author of Goddess Matters: the mystical, practical, & controversial (2011), She Lives! The Return of Our Great Mother (1989, 1999, 2010). Her writings on Goddess spirituality have also appeared in the journals, Voices of Women, The Beltane Papers, SageWoman, Matrifocus, Goddess Pages and WomanSpirit; and in the anthologies, The SageWoman Cauldron (1993),and A Winter Solstice Singing Ritual(2002).
