Writing in a nutshell: Let the Spirit use, guide, and inspire you as you dream, research, and write; while loving every minute of it!

Background Information

Rick is a Christian married father of three, Viet Nam vet, urban public school teacher, carpenter, and more. "I'm very hopeful about the future, as I seek and receive inspiration, discover, learn, and share."

The author uses graphic technical and structural details blended with a potpourri of social and environmental issues. Adventure scenes typically involve high-techology, world-wide internet blogging, dolphin communication research, endangered ocean species, biospheres, ultraviolet radiation domes, hydro-geothermal energy alternatives, and more. Life Line 2050 is a sci-fi/utopian read, and very believable.

Birth Place
Youngstown, OH
Accomplishments

MS.Ed. Kent State Univ., secondary teacher 30 years, Science, Robotics, Technology, CAD, Computer Applications, Tech Prep Engineering, Industrial Arts, and Sociology. Coached engineering design and robotic teams to regional and state championships Writer’s workshops, magazine articles, and letters on education policy, and two complete book drafts and two in progress.

My favorite genres are: techno-mysteries, sociology, science, and political. Learning while reading stimulates me, the subject and plot should be exciting yet very believable. I attempt to do the same as I write.

Additional Information

Life Line Twenty Fifty is a sci-fi novel set in a future community school in Erie PA. This vision of future education is shadowed by a compelling mystery involving two missing scientists. LifeLine's(the internet)positive influences bring about sweeping global reforms. This is a good/short tale for young and old interested in education, blogging, global warming, endangered species, corporate influence peddling, and a math/metric wake-up call.
