I grew up on a homestead in Alaska and have always been a writer. Writing helps me understand myself and my world, especially my nine grown children, their spouses, and my 28+ grandchildren. My husband and I have dedicated our lives to advocating for families and have been licensed and unofficial foster parents for 40 of our 41 years together. We keep our license but are "semi-retired" from the kid business; today, I write about it and encourage others to "Save the world, one kid at a time."
