Lona Smith became interested in writing while taking courses at UCLA under Robert Kirsch, book review editor for the LA Times. She has been involved in jail ministry for the past 18 years and uses her experiences to address social problems through fiction in a way that, while entertaining also give people an understanding of themselves and others.
Morning Walk, A Journey of Discovery is such a story. Dynamite Mike McGee, is an inspirational biography about her cousin.
