Everyone has at least one story to tell. I'm one of those people who has decided to write my stories down and share them.

Background Information

History records what the establishment wants people to "know" about famous people and pivotal historic events. Historical novels, in general, focus on the famous or the powerful.

But we rarely hear about the ordinary people of ages past, who sometimes lived heroic or tragic lives more interesting than those of the well-known people of their day. What I learned during genealogical studies spurred my desire to tell some of what happened to those ordinary people during their extraordinary times.

In the process of preparing myself to tell those stories, I discovered that I enjoy writing.

Additional Information

I have just completed my first novel, "High on a Mountain." I participated in the 2006 National Novel Writing Month challenge, writing over 56,000 words of my romantic suspense novel, "...And Night Falls," and was declared a winner. I completed that NaNovel and it is now published and available for purchase on In June, 2007, I participated in the first ScriptFrenzy and wrote my first screenplay, "Crawdads and Co-colas." And in November, 2007, I participated in NaNoWriMo 2007 and "won" with my paranormal/psychological thriller, "Scribbles." It will soon be available on And I participated in NaNoWriMo 2008...and "won" with my novel "On Berryhill Road." I'm about to begin the rewrite on it. After "On Berryhill Road" is polished, I'll turn my attention to the rewrite/expansion of a novella I wrote in response to a novella writing challenge: "Tugger's Down." The first two readers of "Tugger's Down" requested that I expand it to full novel-size. That will be my next project. And then I'll focus my attention on completing the rough draft of the sequel to "High on a Mountain" -- titled "Deep in the Valley." I hope I get all those projects completed before November 2009....
