I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where I still live with my husband, two children, one remaining cat and a dog. I had an interesting life growing up and working at the racetrack. I have also done much volunteering for animal causes and in the school system over the years, as well as worked at different part time jobs, giving me many ideas for my characters and worlds. I began writing to beat the isolation of staying home and to cope with a chronic illness. Fantasy is my first love. Poetry affords me an opportunity to express myself. I find that Fantasy is wonderful because the author controls everything from the laws of the world to the character's behaviour. It is escapism at its best.
