My Guardian Angel is So Real
When I began writing my autobiography, a strange thing happened. God instructed me to stop. Naturally, I inquired why.
His response was, “You only have half of the story. Prepare yourself as I reveal the other half.” What He revealed about angels and demons has been life changing.
Unknown to us, battles for our souls rage constantly, pitting our guardian angels against the minions of Satan. Yes, guardian angels are as real as Satan's determination to defeat them. Our only hints of these attacks come through the voices we hear in our heads and hearts—and the miracles we encounter daily: the car that barely misses us, the stranger who spots the fire before it claims our lives, the job that materializes, and the terminal illness that disappears.
At nineteen, I left a failed marriage and dead-end job in Texas for the adventurous life of an airline stewardess, but took a major detour that should have destroyed my life. Jesus knows all things, and therefore charged His archangel Michael to protect me from myself and Satan. I didn’t realize I was in the middle of a war for my soul. Those battles between Michael's forces and the minions of Satan molded me into the woman I have become today.
Protecting me was not an easy task. I was headstrong and desirous of a lifestyle that only money could provide. My desire for beautiful things and excitement led me to my first love, a drug dealer who only saw me as a mule and a sex object. His betrayal sent me spiraling downward, to an escort service, drug addiction, homelessness, and jail.
Through it, Michael protected me from death and Satan's grasp. Slowly, through one harrowing experience after another, I understood the power of God.
