Called “one of the most unique and twisted authors of our generation,” Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc is a best selling, triple award winning Horror Sinisteria/Dark Eclectic author.
From things that go bump in the night, to the paranormal, from the Occult to pirates and historical fiction, Andrea can write it, write it well and leave even the harshest critics begging for more.
A force of nature, Andrea has, in very little time, blazed a trail through a genre most often dominated by men.
The proud owner of Twisted Dreams Magazine, she is routinely sought out for everything from radio interviews to convention bookings, where she appears as a celebrity guest.
Please visit Andrea online at: http://thelosttheforgottenthedamned.com/ and www.facebook.com/advanscoyoc or visit her at any of her appearances.
She doesn’t bite…much.
Andrea travels the convention circuit, both in her native state of Florida and outside the state. Wowing fans with her outspoken and “in your face” attitude, it is such outspokenness that has made her a fast and lasting hit with fans domestic and abroad. Her fans span all parts of the globe and all walks of life.
“A force of nature” as she has been called, in just a short amount of time since her arrival into the world as a first time author in April of 2005, Andrea has managed to do what many other authors will not be able to do in a lifetime of writing. She became a best- seller (The Two) and award winner (A Man of Two Worlds by fan vote) within eight months of each other.

I am often asked about my background and influences. I am proud to say that I have no background, being 100% totally self taught. I also have no influences, although I have been called "the next Anne Rice" a label which I am very proud to have. My works have been very favorably compared to Poppy Z. Brite, Laurell K. Hamilton and Tanith Lee.
With almost as much enthusiam, I am asked where the ideas for my twisted and shocking works come from. The answer is always the same, "from the darkest and most depraved recesses of my mind."
I need no other inspiration...
