I was born in India and immigrated to the US some years ago. I'm a freelance writer and author in addition to being a working wife and mother.

Background Information

I write articles and short stories for a number of Indian-American and Indian publications including India Abroad, India Currents, Sulekha.com, DesiJournal.com, Little India, Kanara Saraswat, New Woman India and Leaves magazines.

My first full-length novel titled THE DOWRY BRIDE, was released by Kensington Books in September 2007.

Additional Information

THE DOWRY BRIDE is my debut novel about a young bride in India who flees from a potentially gruesome dowry death and fights back against the system. It is the story of one young woman's journey from hopelessness to triumph. The release date for this book is September 2007.
