Early books influenced me as did good teachers. My love of mystery writing began with Nancy Drew, graduated to Agatha Christie and inludes a boatful of contemporary authors. And I'd be missing a debt I need to repay to Ross Macdonald, one of of America's deans of mystery writing (though he was Canadian in heritage).

My mystery series features amateur detective Bridget O'Hern, 48, and she debuted in DEATH STALKS THE KHMER, from AmErica House. The second in the series will be DEATH COMES TOO SOON. Other short mystery fiction has appeared in MYSTERY IN MIND, an anthology about the paranormal from the Rhine Institute, and MURDER BY SIX (Cyber-Pulp) and BULLET POINTS (Wildside Press), both to be released soon.
I also write children's fiction including a mystery series with a trio of fifth-grade sleuths, the STANLEY STREET IRREGULARS. My beginning readers e-book series features a delightful duo, FAT CAT AND GRAY MOUSE. Publisher.
I also conduct workshops on grantwriting and on that I particularly enjoy is called "Parallel Universes: Writing the Grant and Crafting the Mystery." I do the workshop at community colleges, libraries and for nonprofit organizations doing fundraisers.
