My long stint in the baking oven of life backs my writing. The pains, I find are the pointers to joy of creativity.

I started writing at the age of 4, maybe 5, in my native language Bengali. The whirlwind of life took me to many routes before surrendering to writing. Now I'm a published writer and author (Bengali), and happy with my resolution of writing till death takes over..

In other words..

Operating from Kolkata, India, Akash has done his Journalism, Mass Communication and Creative Writing courses from Calcutta University, Indira Gandhi University, Bhavan's College and Writing School (Australia), besides studies in computer and science.. He has been writing Short Stories, TV scripts and Features (15 years, more than 150 publications) both in English and in vernacular (Bengali); He contributed to almost all big publishing houses of Bengal, besides some national magazines, newspapers, TV and Internet. One of his stories made way to the Writers.net Anthology of fiction. He also authored a book,  Smritir Shahar Kolkata, which  has been adjudged bestseller in its category in the Kolkata Book Fair, 2005.

In his other sphere of life he serves a premier organization of the Govt. of India as a scientific personnel. This maverick has also won numerous awards in many fields- Short Story Contest, Poetry Writing, Essay & Debate Competition, Football, Table Tennis, Athletics, Slogan Writing and Photography are some of them. Music A-Z is his other passion.

Akash is currently working on the final stages of his new English Novel, belonging to the literary / mainstream genre, working on a research-based documentary, besides writing short stories in Bengali and in English.
