I never planned to write a book, yet when I needed to read about others in a similar situation to mine there was little to be found. So, I used my journal as a starting point to share the agony of losing a child.

I am a high school math teacher turned full-time home-schooling mom of five children ages three to nine. My husband of fifteen years urged me to go ahead with this project with the words, "If you can help just one person...". I think perhaps he was right. The feedback from this book has been amazing. Every reader has her own story, but the similarities in the emotional impacts transcend any differences in the details.
