I am a former English teacher and adoptive parent who felt compelled to share some of my experiences with adoption. When I was going through my own infertility just 8 years ago, there was little offered in fiction covering the topic as a life conflict. Infertility is such a widespread problem that I thought it needed a voice.

Pain and grief is a powerful stimulus to writing. Writing The Waiting Womb was very cathartic for me, yet it remains very much a fiction story, not a memoir.
