Hi, my name is Sandi, and I’m an American woman currently residing in Holland, where after living for seven years in europe, I've made it my home.It has been said that “life changes in a person’s life every seven years,” and I can honestly say I can attest to that.My background holds many venues of expertise. From music and the performing arts, to becoming an artist dabbling in all genres of brush and pigment, as well as photography. But for as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a love affair with the written word.Every instance in life causes an emotion, whether they be good or bad, happy or sad, we can’t ignore them. To be able to put those emotions and thoughts to paper, adds clarity to the day, and happens to be the best shrink I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet with…Oh; if my felt tip pen could talk…oh but wait it does! With every letter’s curve, boldly jumping off the page, and at times looking as if they’ve been standing out in the rain; smudged as a watercolor painting.The biggest motivation for my muse is life itself, those real time happenstances, snapshots of memories, as well as nature. My writing achievements thus far have been humble. I’m an aspiring poet and always will be. I strive to learn new forms and ways of writing nearly everyday, perfecting a few and have won several competitions along the way. I’ve also taken part in various anthologies.

I am currently working on two poetry books, one for children and one from my heart, as well as a novel. The later has been a work in progress since the death of my late husband.
