Unfortunately most aspiring writers read to a much higher standard than they write to. To put it politely, this means most material in a context like this falls short, my own work included it's fair to say. As if that wasn't bad enough, you'll find that a lot of authors' heads are filled with moondust. So, what's going on here?
A writer’s deep-rooted self-centered need to be listened to coupled with profit-driven online outlets used as vehicles for self-expression mean that asserting identity and sharing work have never been easier. And why not! Remember, some of it is actually worthwhile, but it may take a while to find it!
We’ll be forgotten quickly I fear, but at least we managed to have an international voice somewhere.
