Writing is essential as a tool for passing on knowledge, expressing art, and as an emotional outlet. The best writing does all three. While my journey has not been unique or even especially noteworthy or of importance to the Universe, it does contain the essential elements. It is the outlet for the pent-up emotions developed from childhood. It has a lesson for those willing to, and having the capability to, understand. And it is an outlet of my creative need of expression. I do not pretend to be a teacher, psychoanalyst, or an author of any note. But in the sharing of my stories, I hope to entertain, emote, and educate. If I do just one, I will feel fulfilled.

My mind races and I struggle to sort out my thoughts as I attempt to write my book of living. It will be years in the making. I am no Stephen King. I only hope the final product will be worthy of the world.
