Background Information

Richard is a storyteller specialising in Irish, Spanish and Basque myths, legends and tales. As a Legendary Tour guide, he takes people to sites in Ireland associated with myth and legend. He is one of the storytellers featured in the History Channel series Celtic Myths. His fiction and non-fiction writing focusses on Irish, Spanish and Basque themes.

I am not the gothic author "Richard Marsh". Richard Bernard Heldmann (1857 - 1915) wrote The Beetle and other works using the name "Richard Marsh". Recent print books: Spanish and Basque Legends, 2010: 76 historical, religious and local legends from prehistory to the 21st century, with 16 pages of colour photos. Irish King and Hero Tales, 2011: translations and retellings of medieval legends. Recent ebooks: English Like It Is: Right, Wrong and Changing Usage, 2012 update. Once a Hero, a novel in the form of a filmscript, 2012.
