Kathleen has drawn on a long background of history and literature as well as her Welsh and Scottish heritage to write the multi-award winning Macsen's Treasure Series. She is a member of the International Arthurian Society, the Historical Novel Society, and participates in various writing organizations.

Accomplishments

Kathleen's second novel "In the Shadow of Dragons" earned a 2002 Colorado Independent Publishers Association Book Award (CIPA) for fiction.
Kathleen's her third novel "The Anvil Stone" earned a 2006 CIPA Book Award for fiction, a 2007 Eric Hoffer Book Award "Notable" for Fiction, and a 2007 Independent Publisher Book Award Bronze Medal for Fantasy.
Kathleen's fourth novel, "A Land Beyond Ravens," won the 2010 Colorado Book Award in the Historical Fiction Category. The novel has also won the 2010 National Indie Excellence Award in historical fiction, has been honored as a finalist in the National Best Books 2009 Awards (historical fiction) sponsored by USA Book News, and took 2nd Place Fiction in the 2010 Colorado Independent Publishers Book Awards!

Besides being a novelist, Kathleen has published numerous articles, essays, short stories, reviews and poetry - mostly with Celtic themes. She is also the editor of the Bardsong Press Celtic Voice anthologies and for two years was the assistant editor of the literary magazine, Bardsong, the Journal for Celebrating the Celtic Spirit.
