For ten years, Kristen Twedt has written for various publications, including Mississippi Magazine, The Hattiesburg American, The Wiregrass Farmer, and Arriviste Press.
Her favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. Her favorite short story author is Annie Proulx. She writes a weekly column for The Hattiesburg American and hosts a blog featuring primarily her columns. She is a member of the Southeastern Writers Association.
She writes because her degree in biology proved to be about as useful as a third elbow. While she enjoys producing features on health, medicine and entertainment topics and personal profiles, her deepest motivation is to one day write something of significance, or, at least, to remain in obscurity pretending she has.
