Background Information

James Matthew Byers resides in Rainbow City, AL, with his wife, Dorothea, and his two children, Tristan and Emma. Currently, he teaches Special Education at St. Clair County High School in Odenville, AL. He earned his degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration on English/Language Arts from Jacksonville State University, and is in the process of completing his Masterís studies in Education: English/Language Arts. His publications include Grecian Rune, PublishAmerica, 2004, a fantasy novel written in verse. Mr. Byers also did the cover art and illustrations within the novel. Grecian Rune centers on Christian themes, as do many of Mr. Byersí writings. He has published several poems through Jacksonville State University in their yearly compilation titled Something Else, and has numerous poems posted at Being a follower of Yeshua (Jesus) and a servant of El Shaddai (God Almighty) sum up his most important interests. He uses his writing as a witnessing tool, and a means to inspire other believers, strengthening their faith. Check out for poems by Mr. Byers, as well as creative, fun-filled short pieces by other well known and unknown sci-fi/fantasy industry mogels. Mr. Byers has been published through the University Press at Jacksonville State where he attends.
