Born in Bloomington, IN, and now residing permanently in Southwest Florida, C. S. Challinor was educated in Scotland and England, and holds a joint honors degree in Latin and French from the University of Kent, Canterbury, England, as well as a diploma in Russian from the Pushkin Institute in Moscow. Challinor has published stories in several women's magazines in the UK and the US, and is the author of five titles so far in the Rex Graves mystery series and of the standalone romantic mystery Pink Champagne on Ice. She likes to travel and enjoys discovering new territory for her novels.
Favorite all-time novels include Faulkner's "Light in August," Carson McCullers' "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter," Nabokov's "Laughter in the Dark," Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca," the Maigret series by Georges Simenon, and almost everything by Hemingway and Agatha Christie.
