As a kid growing up in a semi-tough city neighborhood, I turned to family, books, religion and young love for all the meaning in life I needed. Garnering Scholastic Key Awards for my short fiction and newspaper work as a teen set me on the path of my dreams, but years of growing a vigorous marriage and a close extended family plus truly rewarding work as a teacher and faith formation guide have come first. Now I'm enjoying the full-time work I've always hungered for--putting down on paper the worlds and dreams of people who live in my soul.

Coming soon (Sept., 2003), is my latest contemporary novel, A YEAR IN POUGHKEEPSIE--a romance with a women's fiction overtone-- from Treble Heart Books.(www.trebleheartbooks.com.
I will be featured along with some well-known romance authors on a romance-writers panel discussion at the widely known BOATS, BOOKS and BRUSHES FESTIVAL in New London, CT, over the weekend of Sept. 5-7. Because of my cooking connections, I've been asked to do a live cooking demonstration on the Celebrity CHef STage there, on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 4:30 p.m. If you're in the area, stop in for a bite of delicious English trifle!
My 100+ non-fiction articles appearin large and small magazines, and on websites such as Google.com, where it is such fun to see my work. In spring 2002 I traveled to England where I was invited to do several booksignings of my historical mystery-romance THE MOONRAKERS (www.Wings-press.com) at the haunted manorhouse which inspired it in Devon, England. An experience of a lifetime!
My contemporary romance THE EMERALD EYE is available from Treble Heart Books (www.trebleheartbooks.com.) With this book's huge connection to the 9-11 disaster, (it was inspired by the earlier bombing of the Trade Center in '93) I'll be donating a portion of every sale to survivor relief.I also have two meditation booklets out from My Daily Word, and am part of the exciting anthology honoring our wartime and peacetime heroes,(including my dad, Edward F. Sampeck), called LET US NOT FORGET. Available from AMazon.com or IUniverse.com!
If you're a cook, you might enjoy WINGING IT IN THE KITCHEN, a cookbook of authors' recipes, which I compiled and edited for Wings ePress. It's avaiable at www.wings-press.com.
