From the time she could talk, Lori was making up stories. "My first memory is playing word games and making up stories with my parents. I believe this combined with growing up as an only child enhanced my storytelling skills." From the time she was taught that letters form together to make words, Lori has been penning stories. Her first story was acted out by her class and she hasn't stopped writing since.

Thousands of Lori's articles and short stories have been published and four of her books. She's past president of FTH, RWA chapter, founder of Published Authors' Circle, and co-founder and chairperson of World Romance Writers. She sits on the board of Romance Writers of America. In 1997, she opened Word Museum, a multi-genre site for readers and writers. She teaches a writing course through Longridge Writers Group.
