"Customer Service: the cornerstone of success" -- Rene Henry's latest book.

Background Information

Rene A. Henry's 9th book, "Customer Service: the cornerstone of success" has just been published. The author now spends much of his time writing commentaries and op/eds on a variety of subjects and traveling. Two years ago he authored "Communicating In A Crisis," his second book on the subject of crisis management and communications, that cites how poor or non-existent customer service has created or exacerbated scores of crises.

He and his partner, Gabor Nagy, are adapting his book, "The Iron Indians," into a screenplay for a feature motion picture or movie for TV. It has been registered with The Writer's Guild of America, West, Inc.

He had diverse careers internationally in public relations, sports marketing, housing and real estate, television and entertainment, politics, federal service, higher education and as a trade association executive.

In the mid-70s, he co-founded ICPR which became the second largest international public relations firm in the West with headquarters in Los Angeles and offices in New York, Washington and Paris and affiliates in London, Rome and Tokyo. It was the first PR or advertising agency in the U.S. to establish Hispanic Marketing and Sports Marketing Divisions.

He has counseled Fortune 500 companies, leaders in entertainment, sports and politics, and even foreign governments, on a myriad of issues and crises.

Henry also was president and CEO of the National Institute of Building Sciences (Washington, D.C.); worked with Mayor Tom Bradley and his team to direct international media activities to help Los Angeles get the 1984 Olympic Games; and was a senior member of George Bush’s 1988 presidential campaign staff. He later served in the Bush Administration and was a member of the team at the U.S. Department of Labor that researched and wrote The Glass Ceiling Initiative.
