MJ is a single Mom who has a genuine interest and love for childrens literature. She has followed the amazing careers of some of her favorite authors and illustrators, Marc Brown, Robert Munsch,as well as Elizabeth and Victoria Kann. Surely MJ has incredible depths to aspire too but she feels her favorites have inspired her to reach beyond the stars and dream big too.
MJ is a published author and illustrator, having several books to her credit. Some of her titles include Buzz, Grandma What Is Cancer, Pinky, and Piggie Wiggie's Great Adventure.

MJ has won a place in the coveted Guideposts publication, "Expecting Miracles". This is her first such prestigious award. She has also won numerous writing awards for her short stories at www.childrencomefirst.com and for her poetry through the International Library of Poetry and www.poetry.com. MJ is also an award-winning illustrator. She has won the title of top cover artist several times on www.talauthor.com for several of her cover designs. She won first place for logo design as well.

MJ is a big advocate in helping to get the word out about P.O.T.S.(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) a debilitating disease that attacks the autonomic nervous system and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
P.O.T.S. is known as the invisible disease. It plays havoc on the autonomic nervous system causing symptoms such as fainting,
tachycardia,low blood pressure,nausea,headaches,
tremors,chest pains,fatigue and many more symptoms. The patient can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time,and there are many limitations due to this disabling disease.Learn more by visiting--- http://dinet.org/ and my website

MJ helps to raise and money for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. EDS is also a very disabling disease that is caused by loss of collagen. People who have EDS have either subluxations or dislocations everyday of there lives (sometimes multiple!) This disease is very difficult and it is not selective.
