Betty N.Thomas grew up surfing on the beaches of So. California. Before attending college in Arizona, Betty became a V.I.S.T.A. volunteer
and was stationed in New Mexico where her work was influenced by Hispanic and Native American cultures, “Camposantos Trance” and “The Dreamer”. During her career as a Personnel Manager and business owner, Betty began buying and remodeling houses.

Returning briefly to California, she wrote “The Home”, The Old Lady and Henry the X”,”Wave Dancers”,”Ocean Friend” and “Looking for God”.
Betty then moved to Whidbey Island. While living there and constructing and remodeling houses, she wrote the poems “Warm Winter Winds”,”The Island Transit or Da Bus”,”Le Cottage sur La Mer”,and “Glacier Grotto”.
Currently, Betty lives on an island in Midcoast Maine where she recently completed Purple Hats and Pink Tutus.
