Jim Joyce, upon reaching the age of retirement, decided to write children’s books since he is the proud grandfather of 3 granddaughters, ages 13, 9 and 5. There is nothing more he likes to do than spend time with them and enjoy them in ways that only a grandparent can. He is a native of North Carolina, but currently resides in Longwood, Florida, with his lovely wife, Bobbie.

In April of 2007, I was fortunate enough to read my first children's book, "Our Family", to my 8-yr old granddaughter's school class. One of the things that made this a very special moment is the fact that the book is actually about her family – her mom & dad, as well as her 2 sisters and her dog & cat.

I was invited back to the school on November 14th, 2007, to read my latest book, "Santa's SUV". It was a resounding success as each of the students was given a "Santa's SUV" book marker and I was asked to autograph each and every one of them after the Q&A session.
