Your Life Has Many Defining Moments!
Some are obvious right away and others take time.
One of my uncles once painted a multicolored floral garden, when my family went to visit him. I watched him paint. My family said to me "don't bother him." My uncle said "she's not a bother." So I watched my Uncle Frank create something from nothing. It was amazing.
Many relatives and my Mom had huge gardens with vegetables and flowers. Color was everywhere. Their creativity in using what they grew was delightful and delicious vegetables.
There were opportunities to live on three continents, travel, and have adventures. But it's the people I've met along the way who have inspired me.
One grand defining moment was completing my university degree. It only took thirty-five years. I got my B.A. in Liberal Arts from Eastern Illinois University. This was the same school I started at, but not the only place I took classes from.
Some days I still wonder at the complexity of what all I've experienced, and know that, there are more adventures ahead.
As always though, it's the encouragement of friends and family that counts the most!
