Born on an airbase in Texas, the family moved from there when he was six weeks old. Moving and traveling around started at that time and has never stopped. Having visited, lived in or "passed through" 49 states in the nation at one time or another (Alaska is missing), the thrill of travel--and with that the opportunity of meeting new people--has only grown stronger over the years.
With a passion for writing, which has included approximately one million published words during his diverse career, Scott has penned ad copy, white papers, lyrics, poems, brchures, press releases, news stories, as well as a crime thriller titled "Darkness Descends," a sample of which is included on this site.
Scott is President of Bright Sky Learning Inc., responsible for implementing reading and math intervention programs for youth who need assistance in these areas.
He carries a Nikon D1x, D5100 and N80 (with 50mm, 18-105mm & 70-300mm glass) and a Nikon Coolpix L22 (when large gear is not allowed) virtually everywhere he travels.
He is a Founding Sponsor of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, and a member of BMI, Getty Image contributors, the Songwriters Guild of America, the Freedom to Read Foundation, the National Indian Education Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
