My writing career began shortly after completing my graduate studies in social work Not a great deal of time was to pass before I was forced to face with the grim reality I would never be able to change the real world, and began to explore the possibilities of creating a world in my mind where anything was possible. My first writing efforts were an escape from the torment of being faced with the desperate, insurmountable problems I was asked to address on a daily basis.
After completing my first novel, an effort which stretched over a period of almost ten years, I finally found the courage to share excerpts of the novel with my closest and most trusted friends. When several of those friends requested they be allowed read the entire novel, based their surprisingly positive comments, I began to submit my novel for possible publication. Another twenty years would pass before Crossroads Publishing published my first novel, not the first one I had written.
I have since retired from social work, and thus far, this avocation has proven to be such a welcome emotional outlet, I continue to write on a daily basis with the hope of establishing a foundation of readers who will enjoy sharing my adventures.
